This year in CES many exciting products were introduced by different companies. But one of the most amazing products introduced in CES 13 was Nvidia’s own handheld gaming console which they named “Project Shield”. Nvidia also launched its Tegra 4 chip but it was the star of the evening only until Nvidia introduced its “Project Shield” handheld gaming console.

“Project Shield” is just a codename for that console and it is not yet launched in the market and no release date has been given for it but we expect it to launch in the summer of 2013.

For many years Nvidia has introduced many great graphic cars for PC’s and recently it also started producing chips for smartphones but now the question is this that will it take over Sony in the gaming console business?

The last console launched by Microsoft was Xbox360 and there are rumors that they will launch Xbox720 this year while Sony also stopped the production of its PlayStation2 console and is expected to launch a new high end console named “PlayStation 4″. Sony has also been producing handheld consoles for a long time but recently its handheld consoles have become less popular because of new smartphones which are capable of playing high graphics games.

While on the other hand Nvidia’s products are well trusted by many people because of their great graphics and when “Project Shield” will be launched, there is a great chance that it will become more popular than Sony’s handheld consoles. The graphics of “Project Shield” will not be the only factor that will contribute in making the handheld console famous but its capability to play Android Games, PC Games, Games direct from the Cloud will also contribute a lot in its popularity.
